Jack has a proven track record (8 years) across many different sectors in the maritime industry.

Initially starting off as a sailing enthusiast and growing up on the water Jack has made a career as a yacht charter captain being solely responsible for assets exceeding £4 million. Jack progressed into the world of international cruising as a navigation officer being responsible for the safe navigation of £180 million worth of ship along with its 1,000+ crew and passengers.

Jack initially came to work for near Technologies for a brief period prior to escaping to the high seas back in 2012. With his return he brought a wealth of knowledge in the use of Remote Aircraft (drones) and their applications in the maritime industry and wider survey market.
This enabled near Technologies to begin its drone program in Gibraltar as an extension of our GIS services. Enabling near Technologies to reduce its carbon foot print and increase the accuracy of the data collected by utilising remote aircraft to collect geo-spatial data.

Jack has always been an avid aviation enthusiast and is currently undergoing his Private Pilots License to continue to expand his knowledge in the aviation sector and bring that knowledge & experience into our drone program.
